Leukocyte-rich PRP (L-PRP)
Leukocyte-rich PRP retains the white cells that concentrate alongside platelets in the buffy coat. It is associated with a stronger inflammatory signal, which some protocols seek and others deliberately avoid.
In practice
Leukocyte content is one of the largest sources of variation between products described simply as PRP. Two clinics can both be truthfully offering PRP and be delivering materially different preparations.
